Cocain - stuffed buttons from Britain seized in Spain

Police have siezed 107 buttons stuffed with Cocain - shipped from Bristain to an address in the South of Pain and detained one suspect in this case, the interior ministry said Thusday.

The buttons sent to Roquetas de Mar. The Mediterranean resort town population with British tourists contains hafl of kiligrame of Venezuelan cocain, it said in statement.

Police detained the unidentified 25-year-old after determinint that he was intended recipient of the package, in an operation carried out with co-operation of Brishtis police and Europol.

"At the time of his arrest, he attacked the police officer and attempted to flee, but he was caughted after a short pursuit. Among his belonging was a false passport." The interior ministry said.

The man faces charge for assaulting an officer, usurparation, possessing false document, and inligate immigration in addition to drug trafficking charges.

Spain is Europe's main entry point for cocain from South American, mostly Colombia , althoug much of it now is transported via West Africa.
